NFL: Week 5 Studs

Ahmad Bradshaw

Finally the New York Giants run game finally produced. In a win against the still winless Cleveland Browns, Bradshaw ran for 200 yards and one touchdown on 30 carries. Amazing day for Bradshaw considering on the first play of the game he fumbled the ball, when he accidently knocked into guard Chris Snee.

Arian Foster

If he stays healthy, I honestly can see Foster carrying the ball over 300 times. 400 times, is a bit much although it is what he is projected to have seasons end. Wouldn’t you give it to him 400 times, if there was no risk of injury? I would. He proved he is the best running back in the league when he rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries in a win against the New York Jets. Texans are still undefeated and he is a huge reason why.

Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts

At one point the Colts were down 21-3 against the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers was having his way against the Colts defense. It looked like it was going to be a blow out. However, Andrew Luck willed his team to a comeback and victory as they defeat the Packers 30-27. Luck threw for 362 yards and two touchdowns. The defense only gave up six points in the second half. What a win for the Colts in honor of leukemia stricken Coach Chuck Pagano.

St. Louis Rams Defense

Thursday night, America got to see how good the Rams can potentially be in the future. Led by linebacker James Laurinaitis and defensive end Chris Long, the Rams were able to get to Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb eight times for a sack. Rams came away with a victory and some much needed momentum as they go into a difficult part of their schedule two weeks from now (Green Bay/New England/San Francisco).

Drew Brees & Marques Colston

Finally, the New Orleans Saints pick up their first win of the season. Drew Brees had himself a great game. Not only did he break Johnny Unitas record of most consecutive games with a touchdown pass, he also threw for 370 yards and four touchdowns. Colston was on the receiving end of three of those touchdown passes. He caught six more balls and racked up 131 yards. A huge day for both players. Once again, congratulations to Drew Brees for breaking another record.
